In her current work Edit is interested in painting plants, flowers and landscapes that are found in her immediate environment. She’s preoccupied with exploring the topic of roots or rather lack thereof, female identity and our complex relationship with our environment.
Edit completed her Masters in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, HU, and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, NL.
Edit's work has been selected for prestigous group exhibitions including the the Royal Academy of Arts London, Unit 1 Gallery, London, Messums Gallery, Cork Street, Lido Stores, Margate, Wales Contemporary, Milford Haven, Green & Stone, London, NY International Print Show, Manhattan Graphics Center, New York, USA; Townhouse Spitalfields, London. She had a solo presentation, Flow, at Platform 39 Gallery, London, UK.
She also won third prize at Wales Contemporary and has been longlisted for both the Contemporary British Painting Prize and the Jackson’s Painting Prize.
