Teresa Narduzzo

Teresa Narduzzo has been a London based artist since completing her BA Fine Art (Hons) Degree at Winchester School of Art in 1984. She went on to Chelsea School of Art where she took her MA in painting and where she was also awarded the Boise Scholarship.

Since completing her MA, Teresa Narduzzo has exhibited in London and in Europe including the 'Sensory Material' Exhibition at Bonhams, London. Her work is in both corporate and private collections across Europe including Nabarro Nathanson and Freshfields, London, Werner in Hanover and Banco Bilbau, Madrid.

Works range from large canvases (8' x 6') to small ink works on paper. Throughout her career, this artist has developed her own language of mark making stemming from abstracted representation through to pure abstraction...energetic brush strokes and expressive palette-knifed painterly surfaces are emphasized by delicate linear elements which at times refer to spoken or written dialogue. Abstraction in this form is a representation of the intangible experience, the gut response and in their actual making, with their interaction of colour, form, stroke, line, energy; these pieces create their own drama, perpetuating that which they also represent. Tension is omnipresent in this work and is the structure upon which this language hangs, from which it balances and alongside which it finds a place of ease.
