Michael Czerwinski

Drawing underpins Michael Czerwinski’s creative practice. His obsessively collated sketchbooks demonstrate the nurture of ideas, sometimes spanning over 15 years as in his documentation of the Midland Grand Hotel (now St Pancras Renaissance). Finished works include sequences of line drawn images, folios of photographs, ceramic sculpture, tableware, and editioned books.

Michael also heads Studio Tucktite, a creative agency specialising in public engagement, named after the zip lock tobacco pouch once manufactured in the room occupied by his studio at Westland Place. His diverse creative career spans exhibiting of fine art and applied art works, fine art and design curating, major arts project and arts fair management, and most recently running the public programmes at the Design Museum and House of Illustration.
